FISHING:

Just outside the cottage door is the River Tarff, where anyone staying in the cottage has the rights to fish, and the same applies to Loch Ness. There    are many rivers and Loch’s to fish in the surrounding area also.

SKIING, SNOWBOARDING & MOUNTAIN BIKING:

This area is so well known for winter sports, and all the best centres are just a short drive away, even if you don't fancy venturing on to the slopes yourself, you can have a fantastic day in the Ski Centres, watching everybody else from the comfort and warmth of the observation lounges which are all fully licensed and provide great meals, these are all glass so you can see everything , you must try The Cairngorms in Aviemore and also The Nevis Range in Fort William, where you can go on a gondola up to 650m and see Ben Nevis the highest mountain in The British Isles also mountain biking down the trails which are everywhere

SHOOTING AND HUNTING CLAYS:LOCHNESS GUN CLUB

They are located in Glenmoriston, 10 minutes away from the cottage, one of the glens running off the world famous Loch Ness which is only 3 miles from the ground. The ground has been in existence for over 30 years and boasts 6 DTL layouts, 4 ABT layouts and the only ground in Scotland with 2 OT layouts.

They have hosted numerous Scottish and British Championships, Scottish and British Grand Prixs as well as organising the clay shooting at the Highland Field Sports Fair

every year for over 25 years

GOLF:

Loch Ness has its own Golf Course, with many more course’s in the immediate surrounding area.

ROTHIMURCUS:

Fabulous place to go for a day out, so many things to do, This beautiful estate near Aviemore is well worth a visit, not only do they have clay shooting, but tons of other activities also, take a look at the website.
